Programme

The conference explores links between Ireland, Scotland and Empire and features esteemed Irish history academic colleagues and speakers.

Held over the course of three days this year’s conference will see the presentation of 13 papers exploring Medieval Ireland through to the 20th Century and covering a range of diverse topics from spiritualism to patriotic songs.

In addition to our esteemed speakers we are also pleased to welcome respected Irish History academics; Professor Ian McBride (King’s College London), Dr Caoimhe Nic Dháibhéid (University of Sheffield), Professor Alvin Jackson (University of Edinburgh), Dr Enda Delaney (University of Edinburgh), Owen Dudley Edwards (University of Edinburgh) and Patricia J. Storey (Edinburgh) who will convene proceedings.
