What attracted you to the University of Edinburgh and this programme, in particular?

I felt at home in Edinburgh and the resources and course options available to students in the School appealed to me.

What’s your top tip for new students to do in in their first few weeks?

Don’t make any excuses to miss the academics and sports fairs, it’s important to take every opportunity to meet new people and try out new hobbies (or familiar hobbies in a university setting), don’t be afraid to participate.

What do you find most challenging and most rewarding about your programme?

The most challenging part, for me, is the trial and error of finding out how I can study best in my own time. The most rewarding part, of the archaeology programme in particular, are the extracurricular options which allow you to contribute to ongoing archaeological projects in university run internships, excavations etc.
