Applications for the academic year 2025/26 are now open.Award The School of History, Classics and Archaeology offers the School Masters Scholarship consisting of tuition fees at the UK rate. Successful international applicants will be liable for the difference between the UK and International fees rates.This award is open to any postgraduate full-time Masters programme offered by the School. Part-time degree programmes are not eligible for this award, including 2 year part-time and 2-4 & 2-6 year ICL (invoice at course level) degree programmesEligibilityThe award will be made on academic merit and the potential to excel at the chosen programme of study.Successful applicants must hold a UK first-class honours undergraduate degree (or overseas equivalent) in a relevant field, or should be able to prove their academic merit through evidence of professional achievements, awards or publications relevant to their chosen programme of study. Candidates in this latter category should note that a good first degree will still be required.ApplyingThe application process consists of two steps that must be completed by specific deadlines:Academic (Masters) applicationScholarship application Step One: Academic (Masters) application Applicants must submit their academic application via the University of Edinburgh online application system by Tuesday 18 February, 23:59 GMT.Explore our range of MSc programmes and apply onlinePlease note that the funding applications have their own separate timelines and rules for both the study and the scholarship applications which differ from the deadlines generated automatically by the application portal when submitting your study application. This means that all your supporting documentation must, where available, also be uploaded by the deadline. Pending academic referencesIf you plan to submit your application on or close to the deadline, please liaise closely with your referees to ensure they supply the required reference within 5 working days after the deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered by the scholarships panel. Pending degree or English test resultIf a degree result or test of English competency is pending we can consider your application and, where appropriate, make you an offer conditional upon supplying these at a later date. Step Two: Scholarship application Applicants must also complete an online scholarship application form by Tuesday 4 March 2025 , 23:59 GMT. Please note you will not be able to access the online application form in the MyEd portal unless you have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh and received your login details (University username and password).
