Currently a Leverhulme Fellow at the University of Ghent, Alison graduated in 2018 from the School where her PhD was entitled 'A cultural history of education in late antique Gaul’ supervised by Professor Gavin Kelly and Dr Lucy Grig.

All Souls College, Oxford is primarily an academic research institution with particular strengths in the humanities and social and theoretical sciences and an outstanding library.

Professor Kelly said, "A Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at All Souls College, Oxford is a wonderful achievement and an almost unparalleled way to launch an academic career: five uninterrupted years for research in a remarkable scholarly environment. Alison has an appropriately ambitious project for an interdisciplinary study - historical, literary, socio-linguistic - of the uses of Greek in late antique Italy and Gaul."

The School sends its warmest congratulations to Alison on this incredible achievement.
