Our Careers team plays an essential part in your wider student experience at the University, offering world-class careers and personal development guidance and support. We support you to recognise the wealth of possibilities ahead, while at university and after graduation, helping you explore new avenues, tap into your talents and build your employability with confidence and enthusiasm.

We provide access to:

• career information, advice and guidance
• a programme of career and employer events
• internships, jobs and opportunities.

The Careers team is located in the Main Library, 3rd floor. Each year, the Careers team organise over a dozen career fairs and festivals and host many employer workshops and presentations. This gives you the opportunity to engage with hundreds of employers on campus.  They encourage you to utilise their web resources on looking for work, recruitment and your future.

Academic Skills

Our Academic Skills team are dedicated to provide advice and support to help you develop your academic skills.

Edinburgh Innovations

Backing bright ideas, Edinburgh Innovations is the University’s award-winning programme for student entrepreneurs. Each year, Edinburgh Innovations works with hundreds of students to assess their ideas and develop their business skills and helps many start their businesses.

We have helped Edinburgh students and alumni launch almost 100 new businesses in the last three years, ranging from language tuition to robotics companies.
