Book launch: 'Leo Africanus / al-Wazzan relates Africa to the Renaissance'

In 1526 the Moroccan diplomat Hasan al-Wazzan, captured by pirates, enslaved and then baptised as Johannes Leo Africanus, finished his Cosmography and Geography of Africa. This is the first new translation into English since 1600.  Please join the translators Anthony Ossa-Richardson and Richard Oosterhoff, in conversation with Meha Priyadarshini and Stephen McDowall, to celebrate the launch of this new translation. A reception will follow.
