HCA people shine at People of CAHSS Awards

The People of CAHSS Awards winners were announced last week in a ceremony in McEwen Hall. And you bet (spoiler alert) HCA staff were among the winners!

The People of CAHSS Awards is an opportunity for everyone in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences to pause and reflect, and to let others within the College know what a difference they make to their colleagues and their work. Between January and March this year the Awards were open for nominations, with a record-breaking 1830 flooding in across nine categories.

We're delighted to announce that staff from the School of History, Classics and Archaeology were named winners in five of them, and if you hover over the category you'll see what the Award recognises.

Those winners are:

  • The Advancing Inclusion Award - Dr Kate Davison, Lecturer in the History of Sexuality
  • The Rising Star Award - Alex Solomon, Head of Student Support and Experience
  • The Excellence in Teamwork Award - HCA Student Support and Experience Team
  • The Excellence in Leadership Award - Dr Catriona Pickard, Director of Students
  • The Inspiring Colleague Award - Claire Brown, Lead Programme Administrator (Archaeology)

The School sends it's warmest congratulations to the winners, and to everyone who was nominated for an award.
