Northern Lights The Northern Lights workshop seeks to provide ancient history PhD students in the north of the UK with a forum to enable enhanced networking, peer feedback and community building across institutions. Participating PhD students will be able to receive direct feedback on their work, whilst also maximising the networking potential among the full cohort through the delivery of an initial three-minute thesis summary by each student, followed by longer conference-style papers aimed to promote in-depth discussion and detailed comment. A plenary led by established scholars will provide further discussion space for exchange on the ideas within ancient historical research today.
