This degree programme explores the Middle Ages from Late Antiquity to the Renaissance. With tuition in essential research skills, ranging from palaeography and medieval languages to the techniques of source analysis, you’ll be able to explore medieval history and culture through classes taught by subject specialists.

The taught MSc in American History offers you the chance to study the whole hemisphere of the Americas within a School that has one of the largest groups of American historians in the UK.

This MSc programme explores Scotland’s past across a broad chronological period – from the early medieval period to post-Union, through to Scottish diaspora and contemporary developments, whilst also comparing Scotland’s position in a global context.
