Under the supervision of Dr Linda Fibiger, Meaghan is investigating violence-related head injuries in prehistory Europe, many of which have not been attributed to particular weapons. Using artificial bone material traditionally used in ballistics testing, Meaghan intends to match fractures experimentally produced by a variety of prehistoric stone and antler tools with cases of head trauma identified in the archaeological record.
